Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oil, olive
  • 1 tbsp shallots, minced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 rosemary sprig optional
  • 2 cups soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup A.1. or Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and place in a casserole dish, large bowl or plastic freezer bag to marinate beef steaks or portobello mushrooms in the fridge for an hour before hitting the grill.

Notes

If you don't have any A.1., H&P or Worcestershire Sauce you can substitute balsamic vinegar. If you do substitute with the vinegar, shorten the marinade time to no more than 4 hours since the vinegar will start to cook the meat. Do not be afraid if the balsamic discolors the meat during the marinading process. The steak will look normal when you grill/broil it and it will be delicious.
